Ready…, Set…, FUN!

Runners
Prepare to be hunted! Runners will be timed as they journey through this wild course, but they will be running with more than just the Zoo animals behind the gates. Gorillas, Tigers, and Bears (volunteers in costumes) will be waiting in certain spots throughout the race and they will try to take your flags as snacks. The first 10 runners at the end of the course will be winners, but the top 10 runners with the most flags at the finish line will also be entitled to prizes.

Walkers
Get ready to hunt! Walkers will enjoy a beautiful scenic course with the Zoo animals, without having to hurry to the finish line (not timed).  Like every good hunter, walkers will have a chance to patiently scavenge the course for flags that are hidden throughout the race. Walkers that cross the finish line with the most flags will be entitled to prizes.

Road Runners
Just when you thought the Safari couldn’t be more fun, we threw a Road Runner in the race! During the Walk & Run there will be Road Runners with flags on their back that represent BIG PRIZES! Road Runners won’t start the race with participants, but they’ll be speeding through the course to the finish line to win the prizes that you didn’t grab.

So, make sure to keep your eyes open for a chance to grab one of the Road Runner’s flags and become a BIG 5K Safari winner.
